Nevada Counties Map
Nye is the largest county in Nevada and the third largest in the nation.
50% of all horses who free range in the west are in Nevada. The BLM is rounding them up, putting them in pens or killing them off, so ranchers can have use of all the range lands. A terrible way to treat this magnificent symbol of the west.
In 2011 the BLM removed over 900,000 acres from the access to mining claims in Clark County.
They purchased the Horseshootem spring and all the water it provides in Nye county.
Most of Nye county is controlled by the bureau of Land Management, a bureaucracy of the Federal Government which is supposedly responsible to manage and protect public lands.
How 87% of a Sovereign states lands can be controlled by a federal agency is still a mystery. That is the case of Nevada and less so in Utah, California and Oregon.
Making matters worse The Feds control 93 % of Nye County lands.
Only in the west does this situation exist which means that western state lands, wealth and prosperity are controlled by the eastern portion of the country.
PAHRUMP IS LOCATED AT THE SOUTHERN MOST PORTION OF NYE COUNTY
